Dog Caffeine Toxicity Calculator: How much caffeine is deadly for my dog?

dog with coffee

A dose of 150mg or more per 1 kg of body weight is considered toxic and potentially fatal for dogs. Your dog, much like yourself, should avoid consuming large amounts of caffeine to avoid potentially fatal side effects.

So although you may be tempted to share your morning beverage, dogs and coffee do not mix. Most cups of coffee contain at least 95 mg per 8 fl oz. To determine if your dog has consumed too much caffeine, use my simple calculator below. Simply enter your dog's weight and the amount of caffeine you think they ingested.
